About this experience

You will see aloe plants all over Curaçao. Almost no one actually stops to use them. This off-road Jeep experience takes you into the island's natural landscape and shows you how to turn fresh aloe into products for consumption, beauty and overall health. It is hands-on, fun, and surprisingly easy. You prepare a fresh aloe drink yourself, using local ingredients. You are doing it, not watching it. Orson is a local multilingual guide with deep knowledge of the island's plants and environment. He explains how aloe has been used here for generations and why it thrives in Curaçao's climate. There are hidden stops along the way. Part adventure, part culture, and not something you will find on a typical tour.

Real World Adventures

Real World Adventures

Real World Adventures began the way a lot of small Curaçao businesses begin: with someone moving down, falling for the place, and not leaving. Shelby, a hospitality manager from the United States, met Orson on the island and stayed. Orson grew up here. He has worked in Curaçao tourism his whole career and speaks Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish, and English, the four languages of an island shaped by Dutch colonial rule, African diaspora, and three centuries of trade. What they built is small on purpose. Tours run private, capped at four guests, in an off-road Jeep. Routes lean toward the parts of Curaçao the rental cars and resort shuttles miss: the Blue Room sea cave on the west coast, the Tugboat wreck off the south coast, the back trails through the dry interior. Pickup is from your hotel or cruise terminal. The rest of the day is theirs to navigate. Two adults, four kids (two of them twins), a Jeep, and an island they know better than most.
